Imagine being a knight on a feudal world in the Imperium, living out your noble life in fealty to your lord and the Golden King. When suddenly, the largest cathedral you have ever seen in your life appears in the sky trailing jets of blue fire. Then, from out of the iron birds that descend from it, wrapped in crimson robes, come men with metal sprouting out of every part of their body. Before you lift your sword and cry "demon", they say, in a strange voice, that they come from a far-off land called "Mars" and that the Golden King himself asks you to fight in his armies in a strange land called "Armageddon" against green-skinned barbarians. But first, they'd like to have a look at that strange black monolith that every villager is forbidden from approaching.
